I don't think there is a thread about this elsewhere, so I'll post it in a new one. There is some "circuits" in the game, and I think what they exactly do is rather confusing.
First, there is no reminder of how to use them (spoil: press space). Also, IIRC there is no clear hint they are consumables. Maybe just displaying "Press space (or whatever it's bond to) to consume" just below their description would do the trick.
Also, there is code and circuits. I'm not sure but I think one is temporal boost (they are clearly labeled as "do XXX during X seconds", and it's good) and one is permanent upgrade. But as they currently are, it's unclear if the bonus is temporal just like the other "during X seconds" items, or if they provide their bonus while held. And there is also non-code and non-circuits that are consumables. Strange.
Also, if they are permanent bonus or malus (like some pills in Isaac), I have two problems.
- First: why aren't they just granted as picked up? Oh, because there is some malus among the bonus? Well, then why are they clearly displayed instead of being "poison testing" like terminal in Bionic Dues? (And pills in Isaac, potions in Nethack, etc.)
- Second: we can't see our stats (like speed, range, etc) that these permanent bonus/malus should change. 10% increase, you said? How high am I? How high will I be?
Anyway. Not polish, redshirt-alpha, etc. No problem. Things will be great in the end, I have no doubt about that!
