Linux?
« on: November 21, 2015, 06:50:28 am »
So the 0.136 version is auto-upgraded from the windows version. Right? Is the linux version currently unable to build? Or maybe too time consuming to manage that early in alpha-test?

Anyway, not a big concern.

Sorry to bump this up, but I would really appreciate an answer on this point. Is the Linux build planned for latter? It's not a problem to me, just a convenience: it would be much more comfortable to test it on the fly without swapping computer each time. I don't want it; I want to know when. Approximately. "Soon-ish but not yet" would be a fine answer too.

Cheers, sorry on the slow response.  It is something that we'll have when we publicly launch the alpha, but not likely prior to then just for the sake of time.

No problem. Thanks for the answer. I'll try to fun it with wine, or try harder to get time on the windows computer. Keep it up!

EDIT:
Okay! Wine worked just fine. I was a bit worry about that, but it turns out there is no problem. Testing  will be much more comfortable now. Thanks!

Thanks! You saved me the effort of setting up a Windows VM. I hadn't even thought of trying wine. :-D

Now that we're doing the alpha through steam, the linux version should be there and work fine now, too. :)
