Hunter feedback
« on: January 18, 2016, 01:30:40 am »
After playing the game for a while and getting used to the mechanics the hunter miniboss seems weak now.  All that needed to be done is circle kite it and there was no real threat.  It wasn't fast enough to force me to sprint away at any point.

Thanks for the feedback. I've increased its speed a little for the next version as it was a bit slow and I'll playtest it a bit more, but maybe you've just mastered this guy. I'm not going to push it too far because there are actually going to be two other variants, probably a lot meaner, so this one will probably just be the easiest of the three.

IMO it's a matter of introducing new players to the mechanic, with the old values around 0.800 expected to be the hardest without additional tricks. ...I mean, experience at circle kiting + running will eventually trivialise all chaser enemies who possess only direct fire weapons (or prove that they're impossible to defeat unscathed).

I agree it can't be too difficult to beat as people are likely to run into it on floor 1.  Beating it in the first room I entered without needing to use the sprint key during the fight is what prompted me to make this post.

Yeah, beating it without needing sprint is maybe a little too easy. I've upped the speed slightly, but I'll save making real meaner versions for the variations. Thanks.
