Of course I would see this topic after I finished posting in the "Beta Begins" news post's topic. I'd like to help out with the testing in whatever wave you'd have me. I've got a good bit of spare time since exams ended.

Sign me up to help out in whatever wave you think would be best.  I've given a lot of critical and technical feedback in the past, starting with Light of the Spire, through the Valley Games, and TLF.  Whether that sort of feedback is better at the beginning of the beta cycle or the end I don't really know, but I'm up for another go whenever it's best.

Looks like a great game.  I'd be willing to give it an early look if you need me.  Otherwise, I'll look forward to buying it on release.

Sign me up. I'd love to get into as soon as I can, but I'll take whatever shirt you give me. Love AI War and Bionic dues.

I would really like to be part of this beta. I've been pondering about this since your very first post mentioning the beta... That would be my first participation in an Arcen beta, but I'm really excited about Stars Beyond Reach and would love to help testing it.

I'm interested in the beta if people are still needed.

I heard about this game through eXplorminate, and it sounds amazing!  I was just involved in a beta test, and it really whetted my appetite.  I'd love to be a blueshirt/everyone else - whatever you need.

Cheers!

I would love to help out if possible.

To get most out of my time I do have some suggested dates(As I have some time off :P )

This weekend(+Monday and tuesday)
Next weekend(+Monday and teusday).
After that I am pretty much bound to regular work times but nothing too hectic, I will probably move testing to the weekend to keep my sanity ;)

What can you expect from me
- At the very least I will make one large post with the initial findings, Where I get stuck, what confuses me and what I like. Please note that I can only document things this way for a couple of hours as I will be learning
- I will give feedback on the go and participate in discussions based of my knowledge
- I will report bugs I find to mantis
- I will obviously read the sticky post that all beta testers should read just before starting - I intentionally did not read it yet considering I want to have what is in there fresh on my mind before the test :p

What not expect from me
- My time is a bit limited so I can't be a fully fledged QA. Even though my background allows troubleshooting(It is my job, not in games but hey :P Troubleshouting is troubleshooting.
- I will intentionally not read any topics in this forum except this one to not alter my initial feedback(I want to start as fresh as possible ^^), I am however subscribed to the rss feed for quite some time and have been lurking it. This might have clouded some judgement.

Why such a long post?
I simply believe that this is not a marketing kind of beta and is based on criticism so I want you to know what I can and can't offer before being accepted into the beta - I prefer that the right people are picked for the right tasks :)

I'd love to help iron out the bugs/balance issues with SBR before release. I'll be out of the country for the first couple weeks of May but I'll be available any time after that.  :)

Does the beta include Linux support? If so, I would gladly help out spotting and reporting bugs. Especially technical and Linux related things.

By the way, big thanks for your general Linux support and for publishing your games DRM-free on gog.com :)

Yep. I'm on my linux right now and play SBR from it.
Please excuse my english: I'm not a native speaker. Don't hesitate to correct me.
