Lone is pretty cool, and Lone Colony doesn't have any real results. But that does seem to imply there isn't anyone else there -- when in fact the planet is brimming with other races, AND you might have co-op allies, AND the planet itself is harassing you verbally.
Our Planet Is Annoying?
Hahaha.
One of the most famous video games of all time is "Final Fantasy," a title that makes no sense, has no apparent bearing on the game (which one will be the final frickin' one?), but sounds good. I encourage you to do the same. Just pick any two good-sounding words that won't get you lost in a search engine, and run with it.
That... is a really good point, actually! Though there was logic behind the name Final Fantasy, it just had to do with the studio rather than the game.
Combining doctorfrog and wwwhhattt:
Last Contact
I'm a bit wary of using Last again. But how about... Final Contact. It is the name of a book, though, unfortunately.
Earlier today I had been thinking about how there are things that reference First Contact with alien species, but nobody ever really talks about Second Contact or whatever. I was thinking something like 15th Contact. The number would have to be at least 15, and not more than 20-something, to make sense in the story.
If they're fleeing to start their own settlement among other races, how about something involving Plymouth?
Plymouth Star, or something maybe.
I've always found that word awkward to say, for whatever reason. I like your reasoning, and something with those connotations could be really cool, I just don't like that specific word.
Alien in a Strange Land (To revisit Heinlein's Stranger in Strange Land)
I like this one a lot!
It's very long, though. And it misses the alliteration of the original. Alien in Alien Land would be cool, except Alien Land sounds like a theme park. And it's nice how there is Stranger vs Strange, instead of them being the same letters for two different forms (Alien vs Alien).
I think doctorfrog is really onto something so far in terms of a renewed approach...
