The UI looks much improved
. That the bar is bigger makes for a large improvement in readability. The "surplus" sign is a good idea too.
- May I suggest arrows to point relations between resources directly in the bar ? Like "food" being pointed at by crops and water.
- Following the previous line, may I suggest "cutting" somehow unrelated resources ?
That would require a rework of the position of the items though. Sorry

Also, the "blank" in the resource bar area before landing looks very strange, more like the game ain't started than really intended. But I understand that there is nothing to show in there before landing.
I don't have time to test it fully for a few days though. I still have issues with how the building bar works out. I'd get a post about it once I figure how to explain it more fully =).
PS: I'd still prefer to have the end turn button at the bottom right, way bigger than it is now and with victory condition and some other "end turn related" pointers next to it.
