Notes: http://arcengames.com/mediawiki/index.php?title=Stars_Beyond_Reach_Beta_Release_Notes#Version_0.826

Hey guys, I ran out of time to actually do the invites right this second, but I should have time starting around 7:30 or 8:00 EST tonight.  Sorry about that!

This version will help the interturn times a goodly bit in existing savegames, and then the size of AI cities will be smaller in new savegames, which will both make them more manageable foes (my main goal), and also help with the interturns a huge amount by nature.  More notes on that in the release notes.

Gotta run!

Goodnight!  That's definitely quite late, at least in my schedule, heh.

I've skipped sleeping two nights in my life, both in high school (so 13+ years ago), and in both cases it was because I ate half a watermelon at about 2am when I was winding down.  That stuff is like liquid energy for me, it just shoots through me and I'm awake again.  Better than caffeine.  Used to be, anyway.  But you have to eat massive quantities; a couple of pounds.

My last all-nighter was thesis day. Made me swear off of routine caffeination because of the panic attack I got as I came down.

I come close when I've got a new doorstopper to read, but I usually get some sleep those nights.   ::)

Does that really work? Did you eat the seeds?

Honest to god.  These were very ripe local ones, and they were absolutely enormous watermelons.  So probably 6ish pounds, maybe?  Very sweet.  I ate maybe 3 pounds.  They were seedless, and I don't eat the seeds.

I have no idea if it would work now, I'd never want to try it.  But as a teen it certainly did, twice.

Also: I'm running late!  Please give me another hour or so, blueshirts.  Two hours max.  You'll appreciate the difference from what you would have had, trust me -- it's worth the wait.

I pulled an all nighter once when I was in grade 7, sleepover with a couple of friends, during the night 2 of us were so tired and cranky there was an argument,  not sure about you guys, but when I am tired I turn into and ass, so in the morning I just got really pissed at basically everyone. After that, my good sleeping habits disappered and I was starting to get up at 11 in the morning on weekends.

Also before I forget, Chris, is there also a story behind the second time you pulled an all nighter or did you just get sidetracked or something

Er, 6 pounds? I'm not sure you are talking about the same watermelons that I'm familiar with. In the U.S., the typical average watermelon weighs in at 20 pounds and large ones around 100 pounds. Largest recorded U.S. watermelon is 262 lbs. (Reference: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Watermelon)
