I really don't understand the Ethiopian food appeal. I've tried it, but it just was lacking in appeal to me. I hate to say it, but all the non-native food I've confused has been more appealing to me once it has been westernized. (I know, I'm horrible) A classic example of this is the famous Indian dish, Chicken Tiki Marsala which originated in... Scotland.

I completely understand that. I dislike most authentic Thai food, but I regularly enjoy some of the Westernised variants. Ethiopian food is easy to do badly, and even when it's good it's not to everyone's taste. I happen to like it, but only as an occasional thing. Mozambiquan cuisine, on the other hand, is Portuguese with a few minor variations -- the most reliable way to tell the difference between the two is to see what's on the imported beers list in the menu (or to actually be in one of those two countries).

Now, Indian food. Or, as about 17% of the world's population calls it, food. There's as much variety in Indian cuisine as there is in European cuisine. If you like chicken tikka masala, you'll probably like a bunch of "real" Indian dishes, such as the fairly similar murgh makhani (butter chicken, but the Hindi is more fun to say) and various other Delhi specialties. For a completely different experience, try a masala dosa from South India. I could eat those all day.

Right, we were talking about turn order. Yes. Turns should have an order. Or something.

actually lets keep talking about food its far more interesting any way  personally when it comes to continental food I'm really not very experienced I've experienced Chinese food and Italian food from good eating places and that's about it really I tend not to touch Indian food because I hate spicy food and the people who do it aren't very helpful about telling you what's spicy and what's not.

Your use of the term "Continental" indicates that one of my favourite lines from the immortal Hercule Poirot is relevant: "The English they do not have a cuisine, my friend, they have only the food."

Chris, is there an explanation anywhere of how the turn order currently works? I'm inclined to think that some things seem to be happening in the wrong order, but I haven't seen any obvious indication of the multiple iterations of effect recalculation per turn that ptarth describes. Possibly even more important than that, do you have strong opinions on the culinary implications of turn order?
