I found the game quite fun even if it has some issue in its current state. There is definitely the one more turn feeling. I didn't interact with aliens yet (only guarded against one attack) or played with terraforming.
My main issue is crime. I lost my 2 first games due to a combination of crime and disease even through I was cautious the second time.
One the third try, I limited grow size and ploped down lots of riot police + all police cultural progress from the zenith. I had disease control and used quarantine to handle disease without too much issue. But toward the end, even with lots of riot police (maybe one bulding in 2 or 3) and police spending put to 200%, crime was rampant and I had no idea why (too many building? I had only one big city). This started killing more people than birth and then I was missing workforce and police started been less effective and ... death spiral. I nearly won this one as I nearly had become the hand of the planet and was reaching the end of the tech tree.
The fact that there are several exponential destructive loop (disease, crime, waste, body...) and the lack of early warning means that you have too always look at those number before each end of turn and if you get excited by a project and forget it for a few turn, it may means game over is really the fun killer for me. A warning when you cemitary/inceinerator/waste handling is nearly full or will become insufficient (like the energy warning) would help a lot. A big popup message when a new disease appear would help too!
Note: I was not able to find out how to destroy a building (which would have helped me a lot).
I also found a few bugs: number of hurt people becoming negative, discovering alien by moving can across FoW, housing number displayed really strange, history museaum requirement displayed incorrectly. Will check and fill on mantis if they don't exists
