I felt bad about distracting Chris with peripheral issues. I seem to distract him with a side issues for which I gain negative time points. I then have to consolidate a large amount of information into a more easily processed format to create positive time points to make up for the previous loss. Hopefully I'll get balance with my 5th building and then can move into the next tier of Arcen Development. I've heard there are new graphic tiles once you unlock that level.

I really want him to spend some time considering my argument for the reordering of when turn upkeep is calculated. He said he'll look into it when he has more time, but I'm afraid he'll be dealing with trees rather than the forest for a while.

Hmm. Well either way, good job with the list.

I also like how the list sums up every race's gimmicks. Spire one makes so much sense that I wonder why I didn't think of "We are too advanced for you to understand why we are doing this bizarre thing" reason xD

Anyway, that does highlight its really hard to think reasons for neinzul and zenith... Zenith are supposed to be friendly after all and since they are the buildings they don't exactly rapidly expand.. I'm not even sure what they exactly want. So main reason for conflicts I can think of are misunderstanding related to their unique nature and population.

With neinzul, well even in AI Wars you don't really know why they are attacking you, but their main interest is their children. Only neinzul faction we know reason for attacking is those who want to avoid resources being spent so that their children may live in future. On diplomatic conversations in Stars beyond reach they are always about "Talk fast" and such because they live only for day so they want to spend their time efficiently.

So yeah, I'm still not sure what would be exact reason for neinzul to attack, but their main thing is protecting future of their children(which is really short term future since they die in a day) and spending time as efficiently as possible. So they would certainly attack if they think your actions will kill their children, but most of actions you could do that belong in that category really show up in the "general reasons" category...

Yeah. The weird races were troublesome. Part of the problem is that I haven't seen them effectively grow. So even if they do have potential incidents, I don't seem them having the manpower to do anything about it. I also don't grok them or their society sufficiently to make good predictions.

Hmm, yeah, neinzul and zenith tend out to be on very small area. I've seen spire once spread as much as thoraxians in island game though.

wait a minute if they only live for a day how can they have a certified leader?(I didn't think it was a day I thought it was like a couple of months or a year)

Well, its been stated they have life spawn comparable to fruit fly..

And i guess their leader isn't a single person, but more like family/collective? i mean, I'd assume that huge bug structure things(included ones in leader PICS) aren't actually neinzul but more like their hives? I mean, maybe those things are neinzul themselves, but even if they lived for months they still die fast and I don't think those building things are going to drop down in months in game

So I'd say those huge things in leader pics and structure pics are enclaves rather than one member of the species

To cite the "Children of Neinzul" trailer. "Today I was born, today I will die."
It can be speculated how long they actually live, but it sounds it is more of a day as of a  year.

Also they form some kind of hive mind, not in the way the Thoraion do it (one mind dominates them all) but instead they share their memories with all the other younglings which is the only possoble way to gather knowledge for them. That also explains the "fully-aware and vicious replacement" thing. If you kill one there will be hundreds and thousands of other younglings that remember that.
