Terraforming
« on: April 18, 2015, 01:26:57 pm »
So, uh, what does this actually do? I know the three starting options, but the technology for it seems to have no effect. Did I miss something somewhere or is it a bug?

Terraforming alters the atmospheric mix. For every terraformed hex that you don't build over, something like ten units of one of your three breathable gases is added to the combined atmosphere. The more of that there is, the better your compatibility with the planet.

Oddly enough,  I only have the starting three options. So what do I do? Just turn everything into grass?

Checked my oldest save file (where I have terraformed tiles next to my city), no terraforming techs anymore. Huzzah for bugs! Mantising this.

They don't stay when you build on them, they shift to another hex.
