Video impressions and Bug Reports
« on: June 06, 2015, 03:53:56 pm »
If I should get a beta copy to test, is it ok to record such tests and or stream them and highlight bugs to attach to the mantis to display what happened? I'm just asking now in case there is some sort of NDA on it currently, as either way I would have to post the bug videos to Twitch or Youtube in order to host them.

I imagine it would be fine if its just for testing although that's just an assumption from me really id take conformation from the man himself really if I were you.

Not even a tester yet, but that's exactly why I'm asking. Even if I post the video with discovery off on Youtube, it could still get leaked somehow. I don't know how secret he wants the gameplay to be at this point.

if I were you actually I would just skip the chase and just ask him directly in a message hell answer it unless there's a forum topic he's directly involved with at the time he's on right now in fact.

From a practical standpoint, doing the capturing and editing seems like a lot of time expenditure for very little gain.

I actually did ask Chris already, - but did not have an answer yet. So I'm interested in knowing too. I thought this information would have been in the "guide to tester" post but it's not.

Then I uploaded the video anyway (giving credits where due). If Chris finds it (and he eventually reads all forum posts) and ask me to remove it I'll do so. I have next no visibility on youtube anyway, so I don't think it matters much.

If' you've got an answer I'd be glad to know.

That's for a released title. This is a beta title and people get weird when they see beta footage that is buggy.
