Is this on purpose, or is it just because alpha, and they're not done yet?

Also - is there a search in the tech tree to search for key words or building names?  If not, there really needs one!  Pretty please!  It's a big hassle for a newbie to find any buildings.

One more thing - the green text building names in various descriptions should be hyperlinks that take you right to the tech in the tech tree needed to build that building.  I will Mantis this.

Just because it's a beta thing.

Hyperlinks are super unlikely to happen, unfortunately.

A search for the tech tree is planned, but not there yet.

Ya, the buildings and everything keep changing so fast that updating there text would be a fruitless effort. Play around with it and see what makes sense and what doesn't. For me for instance, After about 20 hours of playing (this is probly cause I'm dumb) i still dont know what the underground is for, other than looking at other people buildings underground, and easily finiding resources to harvest lol.

Bummer about the hyperlinks, but I understand not everything can make it in.  It would be a good thing for post release, possibly?


Anyway . . . I am unable to find Guild Hall at all in the tech tree.  I did find and build a harvest facility to capture a Vice Viper, but I can't find the Guild Hall. 

Could some kind soul please point me to where it is in the tech tree, please?  I want to capture and try to use a monster.  I have not done this yet.

Guildhall is under Creative Writing, which is on the topmost row after Formalized Diplomacy.

You can't capture monsters, but the Monster Containment  does let you build Monster Pits with your own monsters, and that prevent monsters from hitting your nearby stuff.

On the hyperlinks, that's a fairly tricky sort of text thing that would require a fairly sizeable engine extension to a component that we didn't design.  It's definitely technically possible to do, but it could take use a solid 3-4 days, not sure.

My own monsters?  I didn't know I had any monsters, or how I get/use them.  I really feel kind of lame asking all these probably basic questions.  I apologize for being lame.

No lameness at all, holy cow.  Being confused at this stage is more of an expectation than anything else -- just make sure you let me know, rather than not mentioning something and thinking it's your fault.  Most likely it's the game at this point. ;)

a little bit of topic but I'm curious why you choose to remove the tech restriction for languages above lvl 5? also the lvling up it self seems much faster than it used to be not sure if that's just me or an actual thing that's intended ill have to do some more testing on that to decide on that properly.

I'm not aware of it having removed the tech restriction for languages above level 5.  Are you sure that happened?  You get full understanding at level 5, and after that it's about manipulating the other races better.  If it's not blocking that, it's a bug for sure.

yeap I'm pretty sure I'm not having a brain fart it literally says I have the language at lvl 7 for the spire(I think its the spire any way) and the tech that's meant to exist for unlocking above lvl 5 literally doesn't seem to exist any more in my current game I assumed this was intentional because of that but your surprise is telling me other wise.
