Grial Underground Elite

Does anyone know what these are supposed to do? In my current game I have two just sat outside my city, I tried to attack them and couldn't for some reason.

Very confused  ???

Did you look at them in the underground view (press tab)?
Did you try attacking them with barracks or air cargo bays?

Yep tried everything, they just show as a black space on the map with an icon showing where they are. Nothing appears underground or on the surface as far as I can tell.

sounds like that could be enougher bug.(I'm just guessing because I've never encountered that in any of my games)

Ah. I see now. You described it exactly as it was. I believe Chris stated in the his thread on the end game & combat that the Monsters weren't working. This looks like that.

Also, How much did you mod crime in your save?

More importantly, I now know how to make new cities. You take an air cargo bay or  teleporter (maybe) and stick it somewhere, follow up with a civi center and there you have it, a new city.

I'm not sure if I should ever make new cities though. Except for the enhanced building numbers, I'm not seeing an advantage.

Whipping boys. Stack up the defenses and let the aliens target that while you build a scientific utopia on the other side of the planet. Or make dump city and send all your trash and polluting industries there while you build elsewhere.

There isn't much reason to not integrate your defensive city with your main city. Your main city will be able to keep combat levels high. You'll have more diseases from combat, sure, but its unlikely your defense city would be able to withstand disease at all. I don't know if we can actually ship good across the planet like that. As it stands I accidentally win the game with social levelling before I really get any functioning industry or market items going.

Hmm, strange. I hit end turn to see what would happen and your city burnt to the ground due to crime. I had imagined you had done something.
