Completed Aspects of the Game
« on: May 10, 2015, 09:49:14 am »
I should ask about what are the completed (or near completed) aspects of the game?

I am on mid game of my first play through. The game got boring as hell with Thoraxians just pocketed me in them. Using military is too inefficient and boring but I should not report this, since it will be heavily overhauled in the future as far as I know.

Diplomatic relations dont work as they should but this will be overhauled as well.

There is also a notice about natural resources dont work as they intended, so I should postpone my complaints about them.

So...What are the completed parts of the game? I want to be useful in my reports and suggestions, but with whole system is lacking something I just could not find the proper points. Where do you guys need feedback most?

I can confirm that ending conditions don't seem to be completed. Game doesn't end even if you complete them and they seem to be bit... Unbalanced

I mean, 10,000 temperature for volcano ending takes long, 5,000,000 power for doomsday device and escape to space ending buildings seems a lot unless I have misunderstood what "to charge mean"(I haven't built those buildings, so maybe it means that once it is completed it will charge power to building per turn <_<; I should really try it out, but I've been bit lazy lately) and transdence ending can be reached really fast compared to other ending types.

Play as Zenith and thr 5.000.000 power are very managable. Zenth can create explosive amounts of power already in the early game (about 100.000 power). The +150% power on everything plus the 10% on Solar and Wind energy make a difference. All hail to the Zenith power technology!

So you are saying that zenith are only race that can pass three out of four conditions fast? .-. Or am I just bad at power managing?

No, but it's easier with them. What energy sources are you using? Relying solely on the starter power generators won't hold infinitely. Also you can eventually turn soem pwer consumers down.

The only endings that are functioning are the special case endings (Transcendence, Volcano, Space, Cobalt). These endings are supposed to be rare. Racial Domination endings are supposed to be the more common ending, but they aren't functioning yet. That said, the special endings are also unbalanced or nonfunctional.

transcendence is meant to be rare really? it strikes me as kind of easy at the moment unless the thoraxian ai gets changed so that when you start down that path they literally start smashing through everything in their path to get to you I can understand the others though since they do seem brutally hard.

Social Victory is dependent upon the rate of Social Point generation. They are still too slow early game and too fast late game, so the experience isn't very good yet. The Thoraxians are also not aggressive yet. Most likely, Chris is going to pick a number (~50-100 turns), and that's going to be how long you have to finish the last three social upgrades while the Thoraxians are trying to eat you. The social point gains and amount necessary to relevel will be balanced upon this.

Yeah,I aggree with crazyroosterman, the special endings are easier to achieve as the normal ending, especially transendence. You have just to wait until the social tree fills up. As far as I know you don't even have the option to skip it because you have eventually spend your points there.

you can skip it I believe that was fixed in the latest patch or will be in the next one at least.
