volcano armagedon dosent seem to be working properly.

hey guys so I'm currently on the volcano victory path with 3 volcanos and the ai doesn't really seem to be getting affected by it? aside from sickness from their metric ton of pollution the over 2000 atmospheric temperature isn't even affecting the boarines besides making them very angry who with this level of temperature should have gone extinct several turns ago not sure if I'm missing something here or its a genuine issue so I thought I would check here first before reporting?.

I haven't tested it recently but it was working fine.

the actual increasing of the temperature is okay it just doesn't seem to be affecting the other races in any way is what I'm asking about. (aside from making pollution skyrocket and making the boarines angry)

It doesn't make a major impact on the other races, no.  That's a good idea, though.

wait so that's intentional? I'm sorry but to me that makes no séance at all I thought the whole point of burning the atmosphere was because I was sick of life and decided to kill everybody? (and thematically the idea of the boarines ignoring the atmosphere going from to skin melting levels is just silly to me)

The idea is to destroy the planet, not all the races on it.  Not directly, anyway.  Everybody is able to deal with whatever atmosphere based on all having technology to help them do so.  The same rationale is there for the heat.  It should definitely start causing major debuffs to all the races, though, including yourself.

so the does that technically mean the races are better at coping with heat than the planet? I presumed that all life on it would dead(including yourself) before it got any were close enough to destroy the planet.(unless brain storm time the sentient part of the planet is actually a creature living inside it)

The idea is to hit a certain criticality point where everyone dies at once, although I have to write some specific stuff for that.  Normally a planet would not just die under those circumstances, as you note.

ahh as I thought so the point isn't to destroy the planet its kill everything on it and make the planet depressed and lonely.
