Well,

2 things.

First, the tooltip for the end turn says you can save up to 900 turns though you only get 9.

Second, Apollo in the third age has the token to remove all building costs.  This includes the buildings for the cultural victory.  I managed to complete the cultural victory in turn 61 thanks to that particular effect.  You may want to consider changing the power to not affect the Cultural buildings.  The biggest problem with the cultural victory is the Sunstone requirements.

Otherwise, really enjoyed the game ;D
Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
You might want to bring these two issues into Mantis (the devs bugtracker). It is reachable from the Arcen front page. I can take care of this for you if you want, though (naturally preserving the credit where it is due ;)).

Cheers!

Hamlet Idyll mode really does feel a bit too easy. I've completed Torment difficulty a few times, last time with 20 turns to spare. Admittedly, I do find myself rerolling the initial map a few times - it's VERY dependent on getting room for at least three Nobles or Noble-friendly buildings clustered together without an annoying swamp or dead forest undermining my score.

Think this will help enough?

* The difficulty on Hamlet Idyll mode has been increased on higher difficulties:
** Expert: 10500 to 12000
** Insane: 12800 to 15000
** Torment: 16200 to 24000

Thanks!

I don't have any of the saves, but I will try and acquire one later today. It was every multiplayer game we started for all three in a row over three days that were doing it though, not just one. We were playing on Steam with steamworks enabled, if maybe that is a factor.

Hmm.  I just tested this again myself, and all seems well on my end.  I really can't fathom that Steam would make any impact on this particular issue, honestly.  Must be something to do with your settings is all I can figure, I'm really not sure.  If you do have a savegame, please do let me know!
