Ok, so, this looks like a good patch, with some neat balan- HOLY CRAP GIANTS.

They have.... 30,000+ health....  at level 1....  and I already had like 5 of them on the map....

I think Heimdall's assistance might be required here again....

Things have gelled for me.

At turn 28, have about 160 total units running about, and I alternate now between lamenting either side and now the arms race includes a light elf

"Oh god (me), why did I give them 3 archers"
"Oh god, why did I give them Oxebeles"
"Oh god, why did i give them ballistas..."
"Oh god, why did I give them horses..."
"Oh god, why did I give them a light elf..."

Very enjoyable.
Life is short. Have fun.

I'll suggest this here once more... ;) If there's only one thing I can convince you to add before 1.0, it's to add power-creep to the abilities that spawn level 1 units:
- Idunn's heal and copy allies token.
- Odin's resurrect allies passive.
- Athena's summon horse-archers token.
- Yggdrasil copy.
- Eldhrimnir resurrect.

In summary:
- the resurrections could do with (old level - 1, min 1). I would like Odin's passive to be as powerful as Apollo's passive to counter him, as he counters Idunn and all light elves. (edit: new Odin resurrects only level 4 critters to be level 3 critters, who can level to 4, etc. ad infinitum. New Eldhrimnir resurrects all critters to one less level, and level 1 to level 1.)
- the copying either level 1/2/3 with Age, or rand(1~4), or equal level.
- the summon horse-archers at level 3 since it's Age of Gods.

They'll otherwise be nothing next to power-creeping bandits/myth units/production with schools.

I'll suggest more potential woes post-1.0 I'd say.

Two more errors now that I am in the age of man:

1.) The instructions are simple, but I'd still like the option to read them later if I wanted.
2.) I had to look really hard to find one lesser god, and still cannot find another. Not fun.
Life is short. Have fun.

Perhaps the wiser thing to do would be to permit 0 or 1 ranged siege unit per faction. ;)

 = = =
There is the icon to filter all non-god objects. Without it, I did have a hard time finding Gods when they pop up.

That's alot of units.

Or maybe I'm the one that uses less than the norm?  Hm.

I generally have 40-50 max unless something really wonky is happening.   Often it's more like 20-30.

Persephone's Bounty is not really a "woe". I mean, the flavor text tries really hard to make it sound like it has a downside, but it really really doesn't.

Want it to be a real bounty? Make it also cut the production cooldown for military buildings in half (probably better a third). That is much more likely to cause 'unbalancing' behavior than just resources.

It is a Woe for the other side though -- assuming it affects factions. Which raises a point. Should Woes only directly affect a faction? Or can they be Woes to the other side, too? It's a shame if you can't use stuff like this, stuff that simply boosts one side causing Woe to the other as it would cut down on a lot of potential "events", but yeah I suppose it's not a direct Woe, so to speak.

It does affect only one faction, but doubled resource gain for a faction simply isn't unbalancing by itself. Their rate of military growth is more limited by the cooldown on buildings than it is by resources.

It's more of a boon to the player because more resources gives a lot more flexibility.

There should definitely be woes that directly benefits one factions against the other, in my opinion. And Mick is right - we should consider "buffing" Persephone's Bounty by making them pump units non-stop as long as there is resources there.

Can't build new towns when your people are busy throwing the building blocks at the enemy (blast those shotputs and greek rock-throwers!). ;)

Yeah, I would like to see this sorted before release. On Mantis: http://www.arcengames.com/mantisbt/view.php?id=11615

I usually say "Well, I've created another monster... sigh". Usually when I over upgrade a unit or drop a needless mythological -- actually in this sense it's often literal.

My favorite thing so far pre age of god ( a few more turns...yeah I'm flying through the game now) is when woes interact.

Oh no! Siegfried is coming!

Oh no, fraility is coming!

Oh yes, frailty affects Siegfried!

(Please don't change this. I think unusual combinitions, due to being situational and frail, are actually really fun and unique)
Life is short. Have fun.

Somewhat related is one I just made:
http://www.arcengames.com/mantisbt/view.php?id=11641

Really, *everything* that spawns on the board should be shown. I don't like it when I suddenly see a unit and am like "huh, where did he come from?"

Yeah the different combinations create different stories.

Yeah...it can work in reverse too. Just now:

Oh yes, apollo inverses health regen!

Oh yes, Iudnn gives double health regen!

...

Oh no!
Life is short. Have fun.
