Personally, I believe it's because this game plays more toward Arcen's strengths. I'm very hopeful by a lot of the AI-War comparisons in some of the mechanics.

If I thought of what would be the perfect Arcen game, it would be a brand new version of AI-War, that was turn based, and a much more streamlined user interface.

Yep, that.   AVWW and Haven were quite good, but players that are pure strategy fans mighta been pushed away from those.... this one IS a pure strategy game, so.... here's hoping that fact ends up helping the sales.

Also it's just a very engaging game.   Very darned good so far.
