But upon closer inspection, maybe having a consistent font for the entirety of the two words would be better (for 285).
Arcen in Summary:
thank you so much, RNG
It aims to please!

Or is that "to kill"?  Hmm.

Aquohn: Oh, I gotcha -- thanks for the clarification.

chemical_art -- gotcha, makes sense.  Though having a consistent logo is really important, as Steam constantly reminds developers in their style guidelines, heh.

Can I ask what it is that you find so amateurish about the other one?  Just so that I understand what you mean, because you keep reporting that.  I don't mean that antagonistically at all, I'm just trying to see it from your perspective.
Well for #324, the border looks like it was hastily drawn with a blue circle brush in MS Paint for one thing. I just think the "W" in Skyward looks really bad. I'm not even sure what it is. Is it supposed to be an island or something? I guess I can kind of see what he was trying to do with it, it just didn't turn out that well in my opinion.

The logo for #285 on the other hand is perfect in my opinion. It instantly draws your attention. It's floating island in the background with swords and arrows sticking out of the ground. "Skyward Collapse" is perfectly syntaxed and in a very cool font. I think a person would take one look at it and just be like "WHOA, What is that?"

And the artist is clearly willing to work on you with it for color schemes, so you can keep going through them til you find the perfect one you like.

Okay, I appreciate the detailed feedback on that -- that's helpful.  For what it is worth, both artists are hugely willing to work with me on the details, so that's really not an issue here.  I'm leaning toward #285, though.  There are some later revisions that no longer have that diamond shape that make it look like bejeweled, so that really puts it over the top for me.  It was a really hard call for me, though.

All righty, the contest has ended.  I've gone with a further revision of #285, and it's having a few final tweaks done to it.  I'll share that with you once it's complete and handed over to me. :)

285 was my favourite as it showed the name clearly, with a bit of the world as well, making it sort of a classic feel to it.

Three days. ;)  This was just at the very final bit of it, and I couldn't control the timing at this point.  I was soliciting feedback from anyone who cared to comment at the very end, but not making a decision by committee anyhow.

I get what you're saying about #285 looking like a bejeweled daimond when small.  That certainly isn't an impression I'd like to give, but I don't know if I would have recognized it if you hadn't pointed it out.  #324 looks great, but the border is much too haphazard in my opinion.  The trees on top are a nice touch, though.

All of the #285 picture are awesome. I would accept any one of those variations.

+1!

EDIT: Nevermind. Too late :P...

The site emailed me these after it slected the winner and I really love both of the colour schemes. The outlines of the letters improve it a lot. :)

COOL!

I think you made the right choice Chris.

I've never played Bejeweled, so I don't know. All I know is that that logo looks AWESOME!
