First experiences(Short on-the-go-ideas), I did -not- follow the toturial:
Windows 8 smartscreen: does not trust the application
Installation is smooth
Starting the first game is smooth
Unit moves would be more fun if it was a kind of animation
How can you see the edicts when they are set on random?
It is not clear when you switch turns (Between red and blue)
I like the idea of leveling the player profile (even though it doesn’t work) due to a reduced learning curve
Hotkeys might be handy for building
I tried to get an army for quite a bit of turns, without success. Apparently I had to create a trading post.
It took some time until I got hold of the resource-chain
Autosaves would be nice
Post session thoughts/quick notes
-The game was a bit confusing during the first phase, I didn't knew the purpose until the phase was completed.
-A few things where not build-able in the first phase(Most likely intended). Nonetheless, the pre-game can make things quite hard during the game itself(Which is awesome!)
-Adamantite can be quite a turner, and with a game turner I mean that the winning faction will be losing ^^; due to the bandites. Quite a surprise.
-The Second phase of the game was a bit hard due to the fact that I didn't know the resource chains, the game does try to explain it well. A newbie help system to keep the hand of a new player might be useful for someone who doesn't wish to be thrown into the deep
-It is not clear that you are required to trade between cities to get access to resources between cities.
-I like the idea that the world expands itself
-The fact that I gave one side quite an army made it a bit hard for myself. But hey, it is a part of the game
-Gosh, so much potential in here. most definitely like the game.
I will write a larger report later on
