Pablo has been hard at work as usual, and is producing some of his best music ever. He's learned some improved mastering techniques, and at some point in the coming months is going to be working on remastering the AVWW and AI War soundtracks in general. In the meantime, here's a couple of new tracks that he's recently completed.
First up is the title theme to Shattered Haven, our upcoming environmental-puzzle top-down adventure... game. Hmm. I'm going to have to get a lot better at explaining what the heck that is before too long. At any rate, it's really fun and the music is really cool already:
Additionally, if you missed it here is one of the tracks from the upcoming AI War: Ancient Shadows soundtrack. This is actually on the descriptive page for Ancient Shadows, but a lot of people seem to have missed it because they went straight from the forums or blog to the store. ;) Enjoy!

There's no doubt that we are seeing a talented artist in progression. Really enjoying his stuff.

I quite agree!

Bad news, I will be buying Shattered Haven just based on that music. Why is this bad news you ask? Because now the rest of Arcen needs to make the game live up to that amount of awesomeness. Good luck, you'll need it :) .

Great song, it certainly whets the appetite of what we can expect to come :)

Pablo Vega has made some of my favorite Video Game soundtracks ever, whenever a new Expansion or Game comes out from Arcen one of my main interest points is the new music. :D
-
Thanks everyone! Glad you're enjoying the music!

Let's see, I enjoyed the Ai War soundtrack. I liked a single song from the Zenith soundtrack. Neinzul soundtrack is my least favorite of the Arcen soundtracks. Light of the Spire was quite good overall. AVWW has a good soundtrack. Tidalis also has a great soundtrack. And now these two new ones are coming out. I can't wait! Because even the ones I consider merely good are better than most other games.

I definately just noticed the new song on his soundcloud, and figured Id come here on the off chance it wasnt mentioned yet. Surely, in the 6 hours its been up, it wasnt immediately posted about.. right..
Apparently no such luck today - But an amazing piece, cant wait to hear it in the proper context, ingame

I really like the new music. :) Very cool! Forgive me for not caring for the 8-bit tunes as much, but this is a return to wonderfulness!

I definitely like Shattered Haven, but A War Worth Fighting instantly became one of my favorite songs ever.
For these songs and the AI War soundtrack:
10 output.audience_reaction(applause);
20 goto 10;

I know very little about coding but I know enough to say...
"goto? Are you mad?"

Obligatory (http://xkcd.com/292/).

Technically, many, many advanced programming tools, notably all loops, are gotos, just hidden. On another note, raptors are not immune to warheads.

And technically all the code we write in c-sharp is doing pointer arithmetic and explicit memory management all over the place, but we don't get the 1000% increase in debugging time necessary to clean it all up, because we aren't actually doing that ;)
On another note, raptors are not immune to warheads.
Yet.
