Leaving Stantonsburg
« on: March 14, 2013, 04:33:32 pm »
I beat the warehouse, talked to Willis and heard the dialog about the path West being open, went to the store, bought some stuff, but I can't figure out how to proceed.  Whenever I go to the mines or sewer, I just get forced back out because the kids couldn't have gone that way.  I've scoured the city, completed the bonus levels, but I'm still stuck.  Willis and Arlene are the only ones left alive.  Arlene is still talking about finding the warehouse key, by the way, which is a bit strange considering what has transpired.

Anyway, I'd appreciate someone telling me the way forward.

Jackson and the others mention how the path to the west of Jackson's shop is still open.  If you go that way, you'll find the prison.  Do you have a save of where you are now, though?  I'd like to look at Arlene's text about the key.

Here ya go.  I haven't found Jackson, yet.  He's not in his house, anyway.  When I go west to the store, there is no path to continue beyond the next screen that I can see.

Thanks.  When you go west to the store, you see the prison, right?  And the hammer and the tunnel?  Hammer + tunnel = passage.  Is that where the mixup is?

Oh! I see. You're earlier in the game than I thought. Did you fight the warehouse boss?

Yes.  Weren't there some frozen grays blocking the way to the store before the boss fight?

Sigh -- definitely a bug, and I'm glad you caught it!

* Fixed an issue where if you had not visited the prison before you beat the boss in stantonsburg, you couldn't progress.

* Fixed an issue where Arlene was still hanging out near the warehouse even after the boss was beaten.

Not at all!  I'm just glad you had a save. :)  Apparently I broke that last night somehow or other.
