1. Got the controller and planet name being different colored. (see pics). The Nanocaust captured the planet (destroying everything including neutralizing controller and created a Hive. I then went and captured the controller but the Hive is un-targetable, meaning the Hive stays there forever. As seen the the screenshots, the planet is still the color of the Nanocaust. Notice how the top left says the Human Remnant controls the planet. Who really controls the planet? (Just for clarification, The Nanocaust is an enemy faction in the pictures).

2. (Ninja Edit) When I try to pan, the tooltips don't really bother me because they appear on the giant bar. If i want to pan diagonal left, I hover over the metal which spawns the metal tooltip. That doesn't really affect me because i use shift to zoom around fast enough that it sometimes doesn't even show up. I know there are the ones near the right like the AIP and the threat counter, but I don't put my mouse there because there's a huge amount of free space in the middle. Of course, that will go away if your diagram becomes reality. The only solution I can think of, if you want them to stay up there but not have the tool tips get put on screen everytime someone pan up there, is to make it so you have to hold ctrl to make the tool tip appear. That might be annoying, but I don't think it's as annoying as having the tooltips obscure a huge part of the screen everytime you put your cursor at the top.

Skimming through this, I would like to see a turret strength marker next to an ai wave marker. It allows the player to make a loop of sorts. If turret strength is strong enough wave can be ignored, attacks may proceed with no risk.
Life is short. Have fun.

Oh, this sounds like an excellent idea, I support this.
