I see.

I take value in what is said, not how it is said.

Fair enough.
Ah, then that would be your problem in this particular case. He states his impression of a game, runs it through the ZP blender, and adds sixteen gallons of acid (the dissolving kind, not the drug) and presents it with silly flash animations. It's fun. That's it :P

If I want a review today, I barely know where to look, tbh. I'll never agree fully with a review anyway. RPS is kinda good because they feel largely "unbought" compared to some bigger sites.

Please don't think I'm looking negatively upon you or anyone who likes his style. It took me forever to pin it down as pure comedy. I stand adamantly that his style is bad, while acknowledging that many people who are not me can think the opposite and still be right (If that makes any sense). Very many comedians have transcripts that make you think "what?" but after hearing / seeing it have you laughing. I'll be sure to consider this actor the same way.
Life is short. Have fun.

I'm not entirely certain that clarification is correct.

And there's the final proof that I'm not british. I couldn't make out a word that guy was saying.

I'm not british either, but I understood him no problem. Although this one is much more aurally pleasant:

Ye well you're from New Zealand so you're a native English speaker so no wonder you understood that. I'm not a native English speaker and I understand 99% of everything I hear (in English) no problem.

Anyway, the point is if Zero Punctuation involved the drug acid, it would probably be a lot more abstract, make a lot let sense, and involve far fewer words!

I'm not sure about the first or second parts. But the last, yes! :P

After having finished it once, I tried playing with the "Second Wave" mutators, and MY GOD what a difference they're making. They're literally turning into the same scarefest as the original, aside from the alien-spawn/patrol mechanic.

Having a heavy hit a Muton and do 2 damage with a Heavy Plasma is truly terrifying (bigger randomization on weapon damages), but it's completely awesome to have a laser rifle oneshot the same muton with the next shot :P

Random rewards also cause some more choices to make when deciding which missions to follow.

Good to hear they took replayability seriously :)

They definititely did. But it actually makes the game even more difficult than the original was. In the original it was balanced around the random aspect, XCOM:EU definitely isn't, which makes it absolutely devastating to have the RNG give you the finger sometimes :P
