Well yeah, I think at the moment the plan is no or very little teleporting and no hearth secrets so until someone makes a world map you are essentially alone with whoever happens to be in your area. Which might maybe do something to PK groups.
Besides from what I hear recently Koreans have been more scary than the friendly groups of Russians.

I was infatuated by WoW when it came out. I played 2 years straight. It was like a dream comes true. I remember me getting to Ironforge for the first time after finishing the starting area. That was a great WOW and there were still so much to discover.

Eventually, I felt like I've seen everything I could in the game and it stopped being as engaging, and that's when I stopped playing it - I still think, that this is MMORPG done right, others try to innovate, but Blizzard did too good a job so nobody was able to surpass that.

I tried a few other games after that but they never felt quite as good as WoW once did. I'm not playing any MMORPG right now and have not been for awhile (one / two hour sessions to try yet another mmorpg do not count)

On a side note D3 is not an mmorpg, but I keep playing it on and off since launch - I think it's a great game.

I counter this claim with this:

Questing is indeed one of the most debatable things in MMORPGs. At first the Quests sound like fun and you do them but they will soon repear.
"Do this dungeon, kill that monster, collet this for and don't forget to tlakt with that NPC."
Mabinogi has even some very ridicolous quests. Really annoying are the roleplaying quests. You play as a different person with a set skill set and a set equipment. You cannot modify this character i any way (because it's not your character) and you cannot level it. This means that you have to rely that the dungeon is balanced enough to get through it. Unfortunately this is not every time the case and some roleplaying quests are just too hard. No fun at all and I curse the game every time when I get something like this.

The second part of the linked Extra Credits episode talks about a quest in The Secret World, one where being a history buff is almost required (if not that, then a little Google).  It's brilliant.

Not to mention allowing the game to repurpose otherwise mundane and reused visual assets to provide hints and clues for a quest you aren't likely to start until hours of time invested into the game, which makes the game world come alive: That wasn't just any old painting in the courthouse, it was a quest clue.

Star Wars: The Old Republic had been a favorite for the last couple of months. Although people initially claimed that the game was a mess when it was launched, I personally felt that it had a pretty engaging storyline and the spaceships and all made the game even more fascinating. Then there was a phase after that wherein I started playing these dragon games, an MMORPG based on DreamWorks' animation's How to Train Your Dragon franchise. This one has extremely good graphics, and players have to raise and train their own dragons to eventually join clans and embark upon exciting new journeys and quests along with their Viking partners. I also tried playing the one called Planetside 2 which is basically an open virtual world filled and fought over by thousands of players on foot, tanks, jeeps and even quad bikes! Seemed interesting at first but then eventually it wore off.

I play LOTS of Warframe, i used to be in a private server with 20 other players, but for some reason or another we stopped playing together. But i'm happy to see people speak about the game again. I wouldnt usualy be interested with the hastle of setting up another private server, but i'll make excetions if I get enough interest? I know I can get a low cost server from the site below. But i want to have atleast 10 people on board first. PM me!
