I played this game relentlessly a month and a half ago. Great game. Will have to get back on and check out the new maps. As a tech hopefully it's a more defensible map like crossfire and not anything like katabatic or drydock.

My only real gripe with the game was how unrewarding it felt to defend a flagstand and how pointless it was to defend/attack a generator. The most fun I had was clearing generator rooms of infs and brutes as a puny tech  :D even though the generator being online meant basically nothing to the team.

The gen is generally not that important in high level play, and WAY too much focused on in pub play. It becomes more of a "Capture the Generator" game than CTF. Some maps, such as the new Permafrost map, has a big importance on the generator with it moving the flag to an outside spot if destroyed.

As for defending the flag stand: Few things are as awesome as spotting a capper far out and moving into a position to mid-air him as he comes in for the flag. Did that yesterday while playing Tech. Flew up and fired a well placed Thumper grenade right into his face. CHA-CHING!
