Guests visiting OLD topics

If you look at the "what are users doing right now" page, you will see lots of guests. While that in and of itself is not strange, many, many of these guests are looking into VERY old topics, with quite regularity. Some of them are even printing them.  ???

Any idea what is going on? Web crawler bots maybe? And why would a guest be printing many of them? (And its not just a coincidence, I see guests printing quite frequently)

Why on earth would they need to print? Or is that just how the forum software reports the view it gives crawlers?

By the way, there is no way to tell. Any forum software that reports on pages being printed would not be able to differentiate.
