The Talos Principle
« on: March 06, 2015, 02:32:36 am »
I played good several hours and for my liking it's an ok game. Certainly not 40$ game. Many compare it with portal, and in my opinion comparison is clearly not in favour of talos.
My mine complaint is that locations and puzzles are too similar. Now, don't get me wrong the puzzles *are* different and the feeling of similarity that I'm getting is not from the puzzle design as such. It is mostly that I can't get existed about the locations - the word tileset comes to mind, but I think in 2015 for 3d games we are not calling this tileset anymore. So it's very homogenized and boring. And somehow I feel that portal guns and glues and bouncers are more appealing to me then the "jammers" and power curtains.... I now what to play portal and portal 2 for the third time, not to finish talos. Probably won't do either though.

Did anyone liked it better than I did? It's not a bad game it's just not a great one.
