Darksiders II

Apparently I'm wanting to talk about RPGs today.

Anyone playing Darksiders II?

Just curious.

Nope. All I know is that I heard it blew. A LOT. But that's pretty much it. I also heard the devs said "Yeah, we know it sucks. We're going to fix it."

@Moonshine: The game looks good, the port looks awful.

Yeah, I did some research after I read this post here, and the game looks solid. Gameplay looks great, voice acting is surprisingly good and the platforming decent. But yeah...horrible port.

The Xbox version which I have is currently sitting in my top 10 list of favourite games ever, if that gives you any indication of the ball they dropped on the PC port.

Not that I expect it to be everyone's favourite game - it's basically just like Soul Reaver, Fable, Prince of Persia, Ocarina of Time and God of War were all put in a blender and the resulting goop was reforged in a shiny Horsemen of the Apocalypse wrapper - but I'm not sure how anyone might play this game and not have fun, assuming the engine's actually, you know, working on the PC!

In difference from most bad PC-ports, this one runs REALLY well, but looks like ass. So I'm guess it's fairly good, aside from texture quality and interface/controls.
