Didn't we have a Descent remake thread not too long ago?

Intringing game, like the graphic style too and the shooting seems quite good. Watched Totalbiscuit's video of it and it seems to be pretty well put together. Price is pretty good too. Not sure what else I can say w/o playing it.

I've picked this up after seeing it, but the controller support is all sorts of glitchy.   It's doing things like locking controls into two functions at once no matter what I set them to, switching inverted/normal vertical look/aim/whatever IN THE MIDDLE OF COMBAT, and at one point the ship decided it'd be just hilarious fun to start permanently spinning to the right.  As you might guess, combat and navigation are rather difficult in this state.

Havent been able to fix any of these issues... the only workaround would be to get the game to stop noticing the controller so I can just emulate the keyboard/mouse with it, but I dont know how to do that or if I even can do that.

This is really irritating as it looks fantastic.

I'm using a PS4 controller (recognized as a 360 controller or Xbox One type, as XInput, by the software) for this.  Have to, cant use the mouse/keyboard.

So that's pretty darn irritating.

I mean, seriously, the game looks amazing.  Exactly my sort of thing.  Reminds me of another game in a few ways, Gentrieve 2, which is an absolute favorite of mine; think Metroid Prime except totally randomized/procedural and much more difficult.  I'm not sure entirely WHY it reminds me of that, but it does, which just makes me even more interested.
