Okay, thanks, but it's funny that the correction came from you.
yeap from my death hole of grammar that inhabits me still I usually remember to put words out correctly correctly(in fact I tend to obsess over that bit oddly enough) I just tend to forget all the other bits.

Risk of Rain, Kerbal Space Program...and that's it. And I've owned both for years now.

So nothing for me in this sale. Good thing, too - I spent this month's entertainment budget on GOG and beer.

1 yea that's why I usually dilute my posts to persifick points using the number method if there's more than a couple of sentences why do my sentences end up like this? usually because I get caught up in my own thoughts and forget completely I mean I do usually any way but it gets worse in those cases.

2 yea I pretty much agree with you there if you think about it in an abstract enough way all games are puzzles to be solved.

1) I think you meant to say "specific." So do you have a medical condition or some kind of situation that makes you forget to type in English sentences?

2) Yeah. I think I'm just older than most of the people in this forum. There were lots of crappy Nintendo games. For different people, there are different challenges that are meaningful. Some people like reflex-based games. I like strategy. It doesn't mean that one or the other is better. But I don't have rose-colored glasses and pretend that something from 30 years ago is inherently better. We should talk about specifics.

Okay, when we talk about older games compared to newer games, let me say some stuff.
First, I don't think that older games are automatically better than newer games, regardless of challenge or gameplay Some are, but overall, I prefer newer games.
There are features that you can still take from older games and they will be still good. Old Jump and Rund mechanics work perfectly on games today as they worked back then. It's no coincidence that Super Mario games are still so popular.

Soem stuff could be however gone for good. Who needs a passowrd saving system anyway? That's the most annoying part of Mega Man. I'm also someone who thinks that a game does NOT need any extra lives. A well made checkpoint system is sufficient enough. And when I look at 8-bit Boy (a game that got well appraised for reasons I don't understand) where an extra lives system does not make any sense at all (when you die, you have to go back at the start of the level. if you loose all lives you have to reload a save game... which is at the start of the same level) I think lives in general should go away.

1 no I didn't I like persifick better as a word than specific I just think it looks better and no I don't have any kind outer elements that affect my typing. (well unless you count autism but if you want to know more about that you'll have to ask in a message I'm really not at ease talking about that in the open really but that doesn't really relate to grammar any way)

2 pretty much agree lives as a concept is a bit pointless these days.(although bro force does something really interesting with it by making each new life and each lost life change your character completely)

Probably nothing for myself. I'm putting a moratorium on new purchases until I finish some games in my backlog, and I'm putting off my backlog until I finish Xenoblade X. That game has killed my social life and free time both and I love it so. I'm afraid to look at how much time I've spent on it.

Interesting interesting, this discussion of HuniePop seems to show that the combination of boobs and puzzle mechanics is quite successful. I hope Chris is taking notes for a possible Tidalis sequel.

Interesting interesting, this discussion of HuniePop seems to show that the combination of boobs and puzzle mechanics is quite successful. I hope Chris is taking notes for a possible Tidalis sequel.

Imo it's more a case of "proper progression and a clearly defined goal with many intermediary steps + even some memory training" ;) Tidalis is missing all that, whether it would have boobs, books, ducks or even rocks makes no difference. Although I won't deny having pretty anime style art to look at while doing bejeweled IS motivational if nothing else, the real driving force is given a clear goal and some progression based grind to achieve it, even when leveled to MAX Alpha mode is hard as hell and completely removes the "sexy" angle of the whole thing, it becomes a challenge of skill and foresight ;) Certainly enough to make me appreciate bejeweled every now and then, which normally bores me to dust and back.

And to come back to the topic at hand (which is obviously HuniePop)

Imo censored as it is, the game is pretty tame, yeah. But I don't need to have (more of) a collection of perverted games in my public steam profile. Considering I own stuff like http://store.steampowered.com/app/349300/ | Littlewitch Romanesque: Editio Regia *cough*

I don't know judging from the screen shots that looks more cutesy than perverted to me looks quite nice graphically ill give it that.

To me that game is actually one of the best VN's ever made. And very much unlike HuniePop it doesn't lure you in with sexy (though uncensored it definitely has plenty of it), it lures you in with story and maybe cute (if you like the art, I hear it's love or hate ,p). And there is a TON of story. Interesting story, story about characters you care about after 52*3 turns (the max length of a playthrough) and many many endings.

And more importantly, the game is extremely hard to the point that even the dev said "please do not try 100%". If you don't know what you are doing you will fail, hard. And even when you do know what you are doing, you can end up making bad decisions during quests... ;) Which makes it a very different VN to any other VN.. best described maybe as a game similar to Princess Maker.. in case you know that.

Ahh, I'm autistic as well, so I can understand some of the irritations that go along with it.

In my case, confusion, spacing out, and forgetting basically everything.  Some communication issues.

It's kind of annoying.  Also the reason why I dont work.  The Starward Rogue development not counting.

Also, why is this topic still all Huniepop....?   Just..... what.

Well, I guess I'll just take this chance to get some more Sims 3 expansions at non-insane prices. Most of my expendable cash is going into Warhammer these days, and as far as videogames are concerned I'm holding out for some big releases like XCOM 2, Dishonored 2, the new Deus Ex game, etc.

I can already tell this is going to be a roller coaster ride of disappointment.

2 more necessary games to get. Might have to pass on kerbal, the price isn't right. Sorcerer King and Final Fantasy V to go.

I just picked up gremlins. If anyone else picked that up also and wants to do multiplayer, let me know. It's not a serious game.

I heard the Steam version of FFV wasn't well done. You sure you want(ed) that? Otherwise a really good game. I got a version of it on my phone.
