Steam Winter holiday sale 2015

Well, the Humble Bundle has Just Cause 1 and 2 for really cheap (with a coupon for a discount on JC3), plus some other Squeenix stuff... but for the Steam Sale itself, I'm really disappointed.
I'm interested in a lot of things on Wingflier's list, for example, but they've all had as good or better sales in that past.
Pillars of Eternity is on sale!  But the expansion season pass isn't, rendering it 50% more expensive than the game itself.
The only game I'm seriously considering is Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, but it doesn't exactly have the best reviews, plus I have no idea when I'd get around to playing it... 

Given all the amazing stuff I've already got sitting around, I just don't feel any enthusiasm for meh deals, and we don't even have a clicker game or gem auctions to make things more exciting.

For me the steam sale is hugely disappointing Nothing on there I want.. maybe except JC3 which I found 5€ cheaper than the price on steam or humble bundle.. so meh ;P

you do?! I always assumed you got the rest for free since I didn't anybody would ever buy a game that's coming in parts and THEN PAY for the rest of the parts that just seems like nonsense especially since you can watch actually TV shows for free(kind of) which will have better story's in general then again people go to the cinema which I don't understand either why pay for the privilege of sitting in a dark cramped room with people who will just annoy you? instead of waiting that pathetic amount  of time to buy the dvd of it which you can do what ever the hell you want with?.....people are so weird aint they?.

Yep, sadly, that's how it works.  And they often really do use the story alone to do it.  Because nobody likes an unfinished story.

What gets me is how quickly it became an accepted thing.  It's okay to do now.  This fact is absolutely baffling to me.  No thanks to freaking Telltale.

Also I dont understand going to theaters to watch movies either.  They smell funny, and those floors... often it's like someone spilled liquid evil on them.  You sure dont want to touch those floors, definitely not.  Ick.  Also you cant pause anything.

Though as I dont really watch movies that works out well.  It'd be just as silly to do that to watch Youtube though.  Well, even more ridiculous, actually.  Though it'd probably be less irritating than the actual glitchy site.

1 to be fair to tell tale there clearly have a lot of effort put in to them.
(I've watched most of their games through YouTube (apart from mine craft story though mainly because what I did watch was terrible the concept alone defeats its own point)
so their not exactly ripping people off

on shadow run I played that up to a point were I encountered a game bracing bug and then got caught up in other things and forgot about one day I might get round to trying to fix that I also never finished dragon fall because of a bug not that it was game bracing but it made the game very hard.

Or you could just wait until the entire season is released and then buy it. Which is what I've done a couple of times now for episodic games. Absolutely no reason to do otherwise.

I've gotten Sorcerer King, Undertale, DARK SOULS II: Scholar of the First Sin, Axiom Verge, The Beginner's Guide, Spirits of Xanadu, The Charnel House Trilogy, Railroad Tycoon Collection, in addition to purchases of The Witcher 3, Invinsible Inc and Rebel Galaxy on GOG. I uhh, have been waiting all year for the Winter sale heh. I'm basically done I think but I'm going to consider the rest of the games on my wishlist for the rest of the sale. There's some pretty good sales here and there but for the most part they've been...ok at best. I'm hoping this will balance out next year and we'll get better sales as developers get used to the lack of flash/daily deals.

yea I agree the thing is that those game all juiced up with graphics will end being forgotten when the next game that inevitably obsesses over its graphics even more comes out and typically I don't care about the story that much(pre-set ones any way) since I read a lot and books usually do pre set stories better.

This is why I haven't talked about graphics in my reviews for years now except as a passing reference to the style and whether I think it's appropriate or not. Gets like two lines near the bottom at best. I will agree that people put way too much importance on how high fidelity a game looks over whether it actually plays worth a dang. So really, it's both publishers and players feeding this graphics push nonsense for the past decade. I keep hoping we'll get over it but so far...it hasn't happened.

The game I've been getting the most enjoyment out of lately is actually HuniePop. Yes, there I said. I played HuniePop. That game is WAY better than it ever deserved to be. It's a bog standard match-3 game draped in a thin veil of eroge sexy time. A dating sim, pretty much.

But I find playing the challenges and actually delving into the actual dating puzzles is heaps of fun. It's even rather challenging when you do the actual challenges and not just trying to "win".

On top of that, the writing is stereotypical but hilarious and the voice acting is impressive for this kind of game. I ended up loving this game and it's probably my #1 game of 2015. Yeah....so there's that O_o

I dont think of Youtube like watching TV because it's not prone to all the annoying issues that plague TV.

1:   ANYONE can put a video up.  You dont have to have tons of money and a major company backing you to put something up.

2:  ANYTHING can be the subject of the video.  No matter how weird and obscure it may be, chances are, there's videos of it.  Great for the indie game scene, that.  There are still trends that appear on Youtube, but unlike TV, it doesnt corrupt the entirity of it.  I stopped watching TV because EVERYTHING was following the same awful trends; there was nowhere else to look on there, and it just got worse over time.  But on Youtube, this doesnt really matter.   The giant Youtubers may have to follow these, but anyone else can do what they want and they're fine.

3:  Ads can be totally stopped because it's the internet, and the wonder that is AdBlock exists.  I am convinced this is the greatest piece of software in like 20 years.  Wheras with TV.... yep, cant skip them annoying commercials.

4: Videos can be viewed at any time without having to record or save them first.  Once they're up, they're up for good, and it doesnt matter if you miss some arbitrary time allotment, because there isnt one.

1 yea sorry about that I got a bit over enthusiastic there when I have time ill put it in parts so its more easy to understand punctuation is something I tend to forget about pretty much all the time.

2 id be fine with graphical fidelity if some developers didn't obsesses over and then forget about making it a fun(I'm looking at you star wars battlefront) some games do manage to be solid mechanically while also looking awesome though like super meat boy even though its quite gimmicky its definitely a solid plat former.

yea pretty much and that's why I generally prefer watching it to TV.(I do still like watching documentaries though and there's one or 2 tv programas I like to watch but that's about it)

The joke is it is the most functional, challenging and fun bejeweled game on the market. The challenges per girl are interesting and require different approaches, even some thinking, and there are secrets, a store, and just a fun bejeweled gameplay in it. Also I absolutely adored the writing for Audrey... Yes, you can laugh ^^

Why is it the most best bejeweled game you ask? Because the player has agency, you can shape a single "date" via items how you need it, and many items are ABSOLUTELY vital to keep. This requires you to memorize/screenshot the info from the girls too So there is strategy and planning involved... in a bejeweled game.

Ps.: Considering the pervy stuff I own on steam, and certainly don't need more off in my public profile, I opted to buy this on GoG back when it was massive sale ;P
