Got to give kudos to steam.

One of the best ways to get everyone on board your game platform is a yearly sale so large and deep that everyone aches for it to come.

Then in 2 months...when the player is trying to decide to save a dollar using a different system for a new game...at the risk of losing all their new friends and achievements... then they got you right where they want you >D
Life is short. Have fun.

Nothing jumping off the page for me looking at the storefront. Waiting patiently for the reddit thread that breaks down all the sales in terms of which games are offering the deepest discount since released. Always some hidden gems in there.

I've vacuumed up so many deals in Steam sales over time that there really doesn't seem to be anything left I haven't bought (and would consider buying ever).

Yea, after about a year or a year and a half of rapid purchasing I plateau'd on steam too.  But there's a steady trickle of new stuff that is interesting enough to go for $3 or less.  And occasionally something genuinely compelling worth more.

You will be pleased to hear that I am exchanging my trading cards for stupidly good Tidalis sales.

This site lists all the sales starting with the deepest discounts, I've found it pretty helpful (my checking account, not so much): http://steamdb.info/sales/

I was hoping for borderlands 2 which I grabbed on the first community vote :)

Monaco and the Crusader Kings Old Gods expansions are the other two big items I'm hoping to grab.

Might get some cheap indie games, but really the three I mentioned are the big ones I was looking forward to grabbing.

What do people think of the whole card trading thing? I'm sure that towards the end of the sale I'll be posting about cards for trade ;) Though I'll be honest, I'm not a huge fan of the steam trading but that's another rant completely.

I was considering picking up both Endless Space: Gold and the GalCiv series, but that would've been a pretty nasty kick to the wallet. Ended up dropping ES based on the last few posts in its thread on this forum.

I've been selling cards to afford stuff that's on sale. It's gotten me a good deal of games.
