Let's do what we do best on this forum, make a short story long, and talk about why cryptocurrency sucks/is awesome.
I got this...all by myself!
Crytpo doesn't suck:
Efficent global payment system. Transactions cost the same fees no matter where you are sending money from/to. Sending money abroad through traditional means would eat up a lot of the cash in fees.
The transaction fees themselves can either be zero or neglible.
Unlike something like Paypal, your account can't suddenly be frozen leaving you in dire straits. I think something like this happened to the Project Zomboid guys a while back.
No need to supply reams of personal info before sending a payment. Less susceptible to identity theft.
Crypto sucks:
WTF...Who uses this crap. (If people don't use it, then it has no value or utility). The stores that accept it are currently quite limited.
Volatile price. You can send $10 and the very next day that $10 would be worth $5.
Security can be intimidating. You have to really protect your own wallet with your own security practises. If your hard drive crashes and there's no backup, it's bye bye money. Letting a bank handle our cash is much easier.
No buyer protection. No chargebacks for fraudlent sellers etc.
Just a few thoughts from an interested cryptocurrency user. I'm sure there are lots more advantages/disadvantages etc. My advice is don't take cryptocurrency **too** seriously, which is kind of why I like Dogecoin.
