I tried it and went back to World of Tanks.
While the gameplay is very different, the leveling concept of grinding to open up new vehicles is the same pretty much.
Yes, it was fun to blast away in a space environment as opposed to the 2D ground environment that WoT has, but that is all I could do.
After the first couple games where I just stuck the throttle at max and chased enemies around, I started slowing down and actually trying to accomplish the level objectives.
I could not. I could not even find the objectives, I could not keep track of allies, let alone enemies, I could not even tell where I was in relation to the boundaries of the battle.
So ya, while WoT has the limitations of 2D ground, that means it is a slower game that I can actually follow what is going on and so I can actually contribute to my teams efforts.
Having said that, the gameplay itself was fun and it is the smoothest space flying game to come along (that I've noticed) in quite a while. I just found everything else to be clunky and non-intuitive.
