Desperation moves are appropriate in THQ's case.  Arcen's been in the desperation-moves situation before (a couple years ago) and I can sympathize.

But it's a lot harder to dig out of a hole when you have that kind of monthly burn rate; often it's more important to bring costs down to something sustainable and stay out of debt so you don't get forcibly closed and can dig back out, etc.

Yep, and I'm agreed there. I don't remember why I was trying to make that point!
I do hope THQ can make a decent recovery though. They've put out some fairly good stuff. I don't remember hearing anything explicitly bad about THQ either. Good developers shouldn't go under.

Other than inflicting GFWL on some of their games I haven't been actively annoyed by what they've done, and the WH40k work their Relic studio does is fantastic.  I really want to see more of that.
