I noticed that earlier. In order to avoid further flaming, I shall avoid saying what I think of his recent actions and instead say that it's too bad he left over such a simple dispute. That's not what we're about here and it's unfortunate he should feel that way.

Agreed. Hopefully he changes his mind, but regardless it's unfortunate that it came to this.

NNNNOOOOOOOO!  D:

The gentleman hast made a most hasty decision in usurping his presence from thee Kingdoms, and were 'tis truly regarding a single matter shall it be of a most unfortunate dismissal.  Whilst mistake perchance occurred in conduct of both Kingdoms, I shall sorrily regret his leavance from these expansive lands, wishing upon omnipotence for his eventual return in acquittal and perchance the acceptance of the law.

Lest we forget the deeds and freedoms the brave man expressed shall we doom ourselves in justification upon our ideals.

Really, those shield gens were not an issue to quit over imo ;)

Then again, if i still can't scroll via edges properly when the expansion releases I am going to go all out and call you all terrorists meanies too. I mean, how hard could it be to make the game edge scrolling work right? ;D

Anyhow.. sad thing that that topic escalated that way....

I'm still incredulous as to how anyone could hate something so much in theory that they'd refuse to even try it out!

I'm gonna be an ass here and say he definately overreacted. He made himself the victim and no matter what we said, he'd take it the wrong way, because deep inside he wanted to.

There's not much you can do in such a situation. He'd set his mind on that he was wronged and will interpret everything from that mindset.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think he said he was still playing one of the 3.0 versions. But yeah, if you're not willing to at least play and test it out, even if only on a fresh install, it limits the impact of your feedback by reducing the validity of your statement. Otherwise it's the same thing you run into when your mom tells you to at least try something - you may think you'll hate it, and maybe you will, but you'll never know unless you take a few bites.

Yea i saw (after the fact) -- it's sad :(

IMHO, if the guy was gonna react like that anyway then it's not necessarily a 100% bad thing he left though. :/

Imo, leaving over it was a tad drastic, but he can do whatever he wants, his choise.

Tho, being mad over beta changes and features still in testing is a tad overracting. I mean, even now stuff is already changin a lot.

ShadowOTE -- He'd been on the latest betas, I can tell because of his many prodigious (and excellent) bug reports on them.

I would guess from what he said that he kept multiple installs of the game on his computer. He could play any version he kept that way and still update I would imagine. Not a bad idea when you stop and think about it. (an offical copy and one or two beta or older versions for example)
