I feel compelled to point out that it says it's "trending" towards that number and specifically that "Trends are not projections" :)

I saw that after posting, and felt it quite probable that someone would point it out to me ;)
I also followed PA and saw how much and how rapidly the trend was changing...  however it's interesting how close the initial trend was to the end result.

Slightly of topic... I found another interesting game on KS http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/dada/pangenic/ that I have backed. However it may be a bit more of a gamble :)

Yea, basically what happened is they asked for some help making another game and about twenty-eight-thousand people showed up at their door the next day with sacks of gold coins, asking "so what are the stretch goals?"

After trying planet scape , I see it will be a game that I think I will enjoy, but it'll take some time to warm up to and get into the grove.

It's not a game to try to play after work for me, but rather a game when you have a day off.
Life is short. Have fun.

http://www.gog.com/en/forum/planescape_torment/planescape_torment_mods_guide

You'll be needing this. Here is a video I made of how it looks after you load it up for the first time with the mods.
I may be having incredibly blonde moment or I'm just that dumb but having spent 15 minutes I could not find the mods. Two clicks away from the link above there is a guide, that seems to be a bit dated (which is to be expected), and it says download this and download that. This in that at least in one case result in a dead link.

Am I missing a mod download link that can be just downloaded and installed, or does one have to hunt around for the mods listed in this guide one by one dealing with probable incompatibility, because they obviously changed since the guide was published (the change is indicated by the dead link(s))?

In short, is there an easy way of installing all the mods or is the above as good as it gets?

This one is better in that all the download links work:

But it's still a manual thing to do.

The monastery of planetscape served as a well enough training ground: I've started to "get in the groove" of putting all my focus into the text. Now I'm a wheeling and dealing suave magician.

This is getting addicting fast.

I was put off with that early note puzzle...not because I don't like brain teasers, but because specially its just hard to begin with...it would have helped to actually see the puzzle rather then imagine it...

That discouraged me, and wouldn't encourage so early in the game for any early game designer. The rest of the game though as been brilliant. Now that I finally realize the game is in the choices, and not in the action, I finally "get it" and make sure to think through every choice avialable, and not to not "fire from the hip" in anything.
Life is short. Have fun.

That is exactly right. You can't put it any better than that, chemical_art. That's the game.

I feel like I'm stuck in a chaos cycle.

I was exploring the city, and for the first time some guards attacked me. I defended myself. Now if I loiter guards attack. Now I see I'm chaotic when I wasn't before, yet I just keep on exploring and slayin as none want to leave me alone.
Life is short. Have fun.

Digging this up, with just over a little then a day to go.

It has smashed its goal by three fold with over 3.3 million dollars raised.

They are making a massive dungeon right now, its up to 7 levels and further money unlocks more. If they make another 10% (300k) in this last day they'll get a second massive city.

I thought it says up to 9 right now?

Yea, about 200k to go now, and that's not counting paypal donations (which they've said they will count for stretch goal purposes).

Definitely looking forward to what they pull off :)

I suspect a wild browser cache appeared, as I'd seen level 9 something like an hour ago :)
