Buck-and-a-Half Buccaneers

You might be interested in an indiegogo campaign from Heavy Cat Studios from a physical card game that they are working on themselves: http://igg.me/at/bac

From their campaign:

Quote
How do you play Buck-and-a-Half Buccaneers?

Rules are simple. Up to three objective cards are placed in the play area face up. Players can then deploy their cards on their side of the line of objective cards, each corresponding to one of the objectives. Battle Art cards and specials can be face down or face up (each gets a different advantage).

When all the cards have been placed, the battle phase begins! Cards are turned over and combat values are compared. Losing cards are captured, winning cards stay in the play area face up. The winning player gets the objective cards. Captured objective cards are replaced, and play proceeds to the next turn.

The player to capture the highest combined value of objective cards wins! It might sound like an easy game to win, but it might not be quite that simple.

This is the art studio that has collaborated with us on Valley 2, Shattered Haven, Skyward Collapse, and Exodus of the Machine.  Pretty cool art on this card game, I have to say.

Chris, feel free to delete this message as blatant offtopic, it's just coincidental that yesterday I stumbled upon another pirate themed card game that cought my attention (did not try it, so can't attest if this is a good game or not): http://www.raidingparties.com/

No clue.  I'm not affiliated with it at all, I just was passing on info on something HCS was doing.

Really bizarre way to work with community on their part. Announce something then erase all mentions of that something from the web with no explanation whatsoever....
