Not very honest, wing. If this thread is about honestly describing your feelings, why the pushback? I would say that if you feel that you have some special knowledge and superiority over a game title, and that means everyone else is ignorant or less than you are, that is snobbery. Especially when you are wrong.

It takes a bigger person than you might be to appreciate other people's opinions in such a way as they are not better or worse than you are, just different. Like I said before, performance is everything, the rest is just mouthing off.

Do you not realize how hypocritical you are Cyborg?

In one breath you criticize me for (apparently) saying I know better than everyone else what makes for a good gaming experience, then in the next breath you say you know better than I do.  This is the second time you've done that lol.

Absolutely, this is one of my character flaws.  As I admitted before, I am an Elitist.  I am working to correct that, but change happens slowly.

Ah, but the difference here is not assuming you are ignorant or stupid, or less than I am.  That's my point. You can advocate for the things you care about in a much more enlightened way; genuinely appreciate your fellow travelers thoughts and opinions. And if you don't, at least afford them the respect they deserve.

But you're not being respectful about it are you?

You call me a snob in one sentence, then tell me especially because I'm objectively wrong in the next.  That's not respectful.

Respectful would be saying:  I think you could go about disagreeing with others opinions without feeling superior to them.

Whether I'm right or wrong has no bearing on that point.  To throw in "Especially because you're wrong" just shows that you are just as guilty of feeling superior to me as I am to anybody else.

Of course he's not, but I already admitted I'm flawed for being an Elitist, he's trying to take the intellectual high ground even though he's no better than I am.

I'd contest that it's inherently problematical trying to argue a different way of thinking with a self-confessed elitist.

It's like trying to disprove God to a theist - you lose before you utter a word.

Agreed, elitism is definitely a problem.  As soon as one sees their beliefs as "better" than someone else's, it becomes extremely hard to change their opinion.
