Mice Removal
« on: December 15, 2010, 09:11:58 am »
So apparently some mice has found their way into my old appartment (I am renting in the bottom of a bigger house) now that its winter and cold outside.

I have chought a few with some generic traps, but it seems there are more then 1 or 2 alas...

I am trying a new "bucket trap" today since the old standard metal spring traps are kinda messy and decapitates the small mice i got.

But... I want them gone for good, and i can not get a cat. Any ideas?

Arson? (Kidding)

Not sure what to tell you. If you can find out how they're getting in that would be a good first step, but one that could be rather difficult. Making sure there isn't food out and that trash containers are sealed is another good step to take. Really it depends on where you live and your circumstances.

Yeah, I think I have done everything in that guide, except get an electric mouse scarer thingy. I might do that to make sure they stay out, or perhaps even borrow my neighbors cat for a week or so ;)

But being north of Norway I can not blame the mice for wanting to get into the warmth, its just so damn annoying having to take it into consideration, and its kind of gross knowing they are there (even tho some experts said the house was "sealed" last year after they took a look). ;)

Well, good luck with that. I can't blame them either - snow is nice, but i'd rather be someplace warm year-round ;)
