Desuraaaaaaa. Y u take so long to update to new version that was update noted yesterday? Theres the first swing of the better ai in that update and I wanted to see it~

Knowing theres a better ai immenent  does not help in the waiting when the current one is a bit silly.

It's definitely shaping up. I'm most excited to give the beta a run for its money with the new AI an all. The current AI is a bit...braindead :P

Just bought the game thanks to my sheer disappointment with XCOM. Really loving it so far (Even if it does crash on me a lot :) ) It's definitely the remake that XCOM should have been.

I'm afraid I must disagree.  After the patch fixed 99% of the control issues I was facing I'm enjoying the game tremendously.
... and then we'll have cake.

XCOM actually didn't disappoint me at all. I'm thoroughly enjoying it. It definitely isn't a remake, but then again I never expected it to be.

Xenonauts still is the true successor :P

That's the problem though. Nothing's wrong with changing a huge amount of stuff, and I'm sure it's not a terrible game on its own right, but I wanted an updated version of the original, and I'm getting that with Xenonauts, and not with XCOM, so I put my money there instead :)

The main problem right now is that Xenonauts is in alpha/beta, while XCOM is (while sounding almost as buggy except for crash bugs) not.

I have very few, if any, bugs on the PC version after the first update, which was released inside of a day.  Not saying Xeno isn't the better 'mimic' of the older version, just making sure there isn't confusion about the current one.

Yeah, I'm definitely waiting a bit more before I really get into it, but I've been enjoying it so far, even if it did get strangely easy after the V16 update. Probably an AI bug.

I wouldn't say it got easier after V16, you have to avoid farm maps to get anywhere without invisible farmers angering the non-invisble fences and crashing. :-\

XCOM is surprisingly non-buggy after the release day patch. I'm having several people on Twitter (Xenonauts Chris and TotalBiscuit being two of them) spewing gall over XCOM's bugginess. But apparently I've managed to dodge the bugs, because I've quite literally never seen any :P

Also, I'm playing with the XBox controller now. (NO! Don't hit me!)

Maybe for you, but I've only seen people talk about how buggy it is when talking about the game.  (shrug)  It's the whole "[not] buggy for me" syndrome. It's hard to know where the majority actually is.

Yeah, I've also heard that a lot. But I've yet to come across anything I've identified as a bug.

No like, I have massive trouble shooting down a UFO, but once on the ground, I rarely ever even take damage, and the civilians do as much damage to the aliens as I do.

I'm really looking forward to a release of this game. I know that the big-name XCOM is really good and all that, but I've got a modest system and some old-school preferences that tell me that this is the one to be watching.
