If a game is DRM, does it mean more than one person can have / play it?

DRM-free means that there is no mechanism preventing you from sharing it with your friends, but that does not necessarily make it legal for you to do so.  Publishers and developers expect that even with DRM-free games, you are buying it for yourself and yourself only.

For example, if you buy a DRM-free game from GoG, you would be breaking the law by giving it to anyone else.  You could do it, and it would work, but it is not legal - or ethical - to do so.

This one might not be as worth your time as you'd think.

I'd thought the same of it originally, but.... well, this game has been in development a LONG time, and has gained a reputation for being an unfinished broken mess that never gets updated.  As I understand it the last update was in 2012? It might be "abandonware" at this point.  The game in it's current state, I found to be nearly unplayable.  It got a terrible reception on Steam when it appeared on there quite awhile ago.  It's also very, very glitchy, and the AI is made of crazy.

Bloody terrible game, or at least that was my thoughts on it.  Which is a shame, as it had SO much potential to be amazing.

At the very least look into it a bit before diving in.  It was also one of those games that takes many hours to even learn it.

The Cortex Command development is still continuing.  The creator has moved onto another project, but there are two new devs now dedicated to it.  They've reported some major bug fixes and some new features, too.  I had fun with the game, but it eventually got too frustrating randomly dying from tripping on the invisible "seam" between two scenes.  That's reportedly one of the bugs that's been fixed by the new devs.

I'm actually been following the Cortex Command development for a while, but there comes a point when you have to say "no more". Last I played the game was, as Misery says, a broken mess. Never have I been so disappointed in a game developer than Data. This game had huge potential, but through lack of care over the 10 plus years of its development  the game has kind of died, rotted away, been raised, died, rotted some more, raised again and now it's become some kind of undead shambling zombie, stumbling through its existence. The game should probably be laid to rest.

... having said that if you can get a free key or wait for a 75% steam sale there is still some fun to be had. Just don't expect anything close to resembling a finished product.

Ok thanks for confirming^^ My educated gamer spider sense told me there might be "something wrong" with Cortex Command which is why I chose not to spend money on it. It still looked like it had potential.

Anyway
abandonware
I think I'll pass.

Al codes handed! Except...

Could I get Sword of the Stars, The Pit?

...I gave to mrhanman. Deeply sorry!  :'( What I can offer is the DRM-free Code for it and another game if you choose.

Kahuna, I will give you Cortex Command still if you want to be our guinea pig lol.

Hm, might be at least worth watching, then.

While the original creator had alot of very interesting ideas, I kept getting the impression that his way of doing things (or not doing them, in this case) was alot of the trouble.

If there's new devs on there now, well, here's hoping the project can really go somewhere.   Be bloody awesome if it did..... there really is so much potential in that game.
