Incremental Games
« on: December 04, 2015, 12:01:44 am »
Does anyone know any good incremental games? They should be a bit unusal and be not only about the stupid "click click click" (yes, I mean you, Cookie Clicker).
I've played already "A Dark Room", "Kittens Game", "Candybox", "Goldfactory" and "Stranger Oceans". I probably have plaid way more but I don't rmember them all.
Something similiar to Kittens game would be nice but hopefully less grindy.

How about Hero Clicker?  I think that's what it's called.  It ends up being more about min-maxing and well-timed use of skills than about just clicking.

Though, I've only messed with it so much.... one way or another any of these games do involve a fair amount of clicking and it just wrecks my arm after awhile.  But what I've seen of the game is interesting enough.  It's found on Steam.

The one based off the XKCD strip about sand castles I've heard is pretty good.

I've played Clicker Heroes earlier, however it got repitive after some time. All you can do is reset, reset and reset. However, they recently got an update with upgradable equipment and mercenaries. Maybe I will pay another visit.

I've been playind Sand Castle since a week and so far it is pretty boring. I don't see what people like about it, you get sand, sand becomes to castles and you use castles to buy stuff. And it goes on like this forever. There is no depth in it (at least I haven't seen any). Maybe all they like is the feact that the image you can click changes every 30 minutes or so, creating a picture of a sandcastle that builds on and on.

Well.  The NewPixBots will build sandcastles, unless you click between when the new pic shows up and when they activate.
Also, at some point the currency transitions from sand to glass, but I never got there.

Okay,I don't see any glass so far and the amount of castles I need at the moment is getting higher and higher.

Yeah, like I said, I never got there.  It was just what I heard from friend who played it.
But if you look at the stats, there's a section for glass.

I got to the point where I can make glass but the only thing that I can buy with it at the moment is more storage for glass. Which seems odd since castles and sand don't need any storage room.

I've played a couple (and heard kittens was a complicated one?), but I liked the shark one a lot. It had plenty of amusing text.
