So, yeah, i had been thinking about a RTD or something, i mean, might not be too necessary, but......well, whatever
What the ship is a RTD?a RTD is a Forum game, basically, the Game master Sets the rules(including the dice rules, introduction, character sheets, game mechanics, all that), a Certain number of players join, most recommended 5-6, so that GM's don't get bogged down and confused(and also requires less work, it's natural for us to be lazy), posts the action they want to do, and the GM rolls the dice
Dice rolls are normally like this :
[1] - Epic Fail : Normally, the problem is degraded into a Serious problem, or it could go the complete opposite of what the player is trying to do, plus a bad incident, you know, Epic Failure(Example : "Holy ship, i've never seen someone play cards this badly, sorry to say, but you are going to have lots of enemies if you don't pay up that five million bucks:)
[2] - Fail : While not as bad as the Epic Fail, it's still bad, goes completely opposite/goes badly, minus the Bad incident, but still, it's bad(Example : "You failed, you've got a debt now")
[3] - Meh : The Middle, it's not much, and it isn't complete fail either(Example : while you won some money, you lost some money)
[4] - Success : Success, the player does what the player's action does(Example : you did it, yeh?)
[5] - Win : Complete Success, Player does it completely, no downsides(Example : "You played the cards well, heres "Insert Random numbers here here")
[6] - Overshot : Epic Win, but whoops! you overdid it!(Example : "You played the cards so well that you were thought to be cheating, the casino guards are now after you")
Once the dice is rolled, the GM posts the turn, and then the status reports come up
Here's a Example :
Most RTD's usually consist of the Players working together, so that's when NPC's come in
NPC's are GM controlled, but still operate by the Dice rules, their weapons and guns are also GM controlled, GM's have total control of the NPC's, but it's generically recommended to scale them to the Player's skills and level, otherwise, it'll either be too hard, or too easy
Here's a usual NPC Status
As you might had noticed, Mr. Some random security guard has less details then Sample Character, that's so that players don't know the exact condition of Enemy NPC's, on Allied NPC's, here's how it works :
As you can see, SRSGBF had more detail(both Security guards have the same equipment)
Well, Explanation's over, anyone up for a RTD?
(This is the same that i used for another forum, but with Words that i am pretty sure are prohibited on this forum, and due to edition, there might be some leftovers or Grammartical Mistakes, Spare me if they exist)
I've got a AI-War RTD written up already, if enough people give the up, i might just put it up and see how well it goes
