Heroes of Might and Magic 6

Just came across this sore post purportedly from Black Hole employee. I don't read polish so have no idea what the rest of the thread is about.

To be honest, while I enjoyed previous versions of HMM after having a very brief look at HMM6 game play. (whole 5 minutes) I decided against getting it.

Interesting how Nival story is repeating itself with Black Hole now...

That was an interesting (and depressing) read. As someone who bought (and was disappointed by) HOMM6, I can easily see it being the truth.

This was apparently posted back in April but the game has received 2 huge patches and an expansion pack in the last 2 weeks.  One of those patches just hit steam today.

Maybe I'll check it out at some point, but I have a feeling it will be too little, too late.

I felt the strategy of the game focused way too much on avoiding/reducing the attrition of your forces. Not that I don't think that should be important, but battles aren't very fun when at the end you say "Well I killed 1000 of their units but lost 5 of mine. I guess I better do it over again and not suck so much."
