I've been meaning to bring something like this up, but can't we add some Arcen-specific kind of verification question to the forum registration page?

Something like:

How many MK1 Bombers are in a full cap?

or

What's the slowest of the 3 Triangle Ships?

Maybe you could choose which game the question pertains to, like Tidalis or AVWW instead if you liked.

Most of the questions could be researched quite easily, and would prevent a lot of botting wouldn't they?

I did add some new "are you a robot?" questions to the rotation that are arcen-specific but require absolutely zero previous knowledge (like "what is the first letter in 'Arcen'?"), and increased the number of those questions it asks you to verify a registration from 3 to 4.  Maybe that will help a bit, at least until those questions get farmed out to their solvers   Though if they have any degree of sophistication it shouldn't be hard to recognized and solve a question of the form "what is the first letter in '(string)'".  But I'm guessing they haven't bothered.

Some people will say "k" (the correct answer) and some people will say "s"
