Anybody been seeing some good or bad reviews? This one looks interesting, although the combat will make or break it.

Hadn't seen it before, but it does look interesting.  Awesome visual style.  Though it looked like another-platformer until the fights.  An rpg-like ATB certainly increases its interest for me.

But when I see the UPlay icon at the bottom of the page... well, it'd have to be more than just an interesting game for me to willingly put up with that particular kind of DRM.  I'm not sure if they mean that it's saddled with that, though.

Looking at http://store.steampowered.com/app/256290/?snr=1_4_4__105_2 I don't think there's any mention of 3rd-party DRM for the steam version, so that seems a positive sign.

Neat website.  They got a good parallax effect going on (my company is trying to put together a new site that has a parallax scrolling element as well; we're just hung up on content because my boss refuses to write it and instead criticizes the design followed up by, "why isn't it done yet?"  The scrolling is also fairly subtle because 3000 pixel tall images with alpha take a long time to load ("why don't they load immediately?"))

Just put the images in the cache and declare yourself master of the internet.

It's a beautiful game mixing with fantasy drawing and a touching story!

What a crappy review. If this was a great review, I would have bought it. And I feel bad, because all it takes are these reviews to ruin releases for otherwise great games.

Sigh.

The review is pretty much spot on though, what is at the beginning an extremely intriguing game becomes -EXTREMELY- repetitive and boring later on. The rhyming dialog also doesn't work, the story is a bit serious and even mature at times (or, tries to be..), and rhyming doesn't fit this at all.

The story is good, but everything else is.. bland. And how the heavens can it be bland and repetitive in a fantasy painting world is beyond me. So much potential wasted. Exploration is boring, crafting is fiddly and combat shifts from boring (enemies don't level with you) to brick-wall insane (some bosses if you don't have their 1 good counter element, which you can not know before a FIGHT, equipped)

I wanted to like this game, but ultimately I got bored and never finished it.
