Frozen cortex

Has anybody given this game a try? How is it?

It seems like the sort of game that people here would like.

Anybody feel like going halfsies on it? Buying the game gives you two copies.

I have not bought it yet but I do have Frozen Synapse and I am definitely putting it on my wishlist and paying attention to it.

I have it (friend gifted it) and haven't touched it in the early alpha/beta stage. Now that it's finally finished, I'll give it a look when I can but that could be a while.

It's currently in a long list of games I'll be getting when I have money.

They made a demo for Frozen Synapse, so hopefully cortex will be getting one too at some point.

I did love Frozen Synapse (and Laser Squad Nemesis before that) so I'm highly intrigued by this. Will most likely give it a spin further down the road. Got my butt full of other games atm though.

I haven't tried it yet.  I liked FS, and FC looks good. Unfortunately, the multiplayer will probably be die fairly quickly like it did for FS.

Haven't got a chance to play this one till now, but I was going through some reviews the other day and people are saying it doesn't reach the elegant brilliance of of its spiritual successor, plus options in attack and defense are limited. But the poker for the right tactics keeps the momentum going and delivers intense matches. Others said it was better than Frozen Synapse and equal to Door Kickers. Got to play it for myself first though.

Played a couple of games of it now with friends, and it's *FUN*. It's short, intense and very full of easy to understand, but complex strategy. I quite frankly love it. It's occasionally a bit clunky on the UI side, but as far as gameplay goes it's stellar. The turn based nature makes it IDEAL for those with limited time. Do your turn, send it, and do your next when you have the time. Excellent stuff!
